I can't believe she's gone. 'Lisa' was a friend of mine from multiple sites: SU, Flickr, LJ. We talked about life and cars and beaches and work and relationships. We had been talking a few days before she disappeared and I hadn't been back to her blog until today. It makes me very sad to know she's gone.

She was a rare individual. Very passionate about what life had to offer. I watched her change into a purer, even more passionate person after she met Yumi and I was very proud of her.

She was very successful in business and brought her typical drive to that part of her life as well. This is from the last email she wrote to me "Yeah passion is what keeps me going in business and in life. There have been days when I just wanted to chuck it in but the desire to get the job done pushes me."

She loved greatly and was greatly loved. Ta, Lisa. Cheers.

OMG, OMG, OMG.

An intern that worked for me a couple summers ago was in one of the classrooms as VA Tech. He dropped to the floor and played dead. He was one of two people in that room to survive.

Absolutely frightening.

This feels so much like Columbine. I was only 10 miles from Columbine when that happened and the news traveled like a tidal wave and just knocked everyone over.

Well, I'm back from Vegas. I did not win enough to retire. Sad.

But at least I have my health...well..actually I caught a severe cold which got worse when I flew back. Never fly with a cold unless you take a decongestant first. Trust me.

Got another cat off the street. No worms, no FIV, no feline leukemia. That's all pretty amazing. But, he has a heart murmur. Echo cardiograms and heart surgery. He's going to be an expensive proposition.
